What Is the Hurricane?

Six-cylinder engines are called the Hurricane. Panama City drivers might recognize this engine because it's found in the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer, which produce 420 and 510 horsepower respectively.

The 2025 Ram 1500 will have a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six under its hood that generates 420 horsepower and 469 pound-feet of torque in the standard variation, while the high-output version boasts 540 horsepower and 521 pound-feet of torque. Dothan, AL, and Marianna, FL, drivers will immediately feel the increased power of this engine on their first drive.

Every engine option uses an eight-speed automatic transmission, and the maximum towing capacity is still standing tall and proud at 11,580 pounds, with a maximum payload of 2,300 pounds.

Other Ram 1500 Highlights
